On 4th and 5th November, KCDF hosted a Change the Game Academy (CTGA) Refresher Training, bringing together over 29 civil society organizations (CSOs) from across Kenya.
Change the Game Academy, is a programme implemented by KCDF in partnership with Wilde Ganzen Foundation, to support organizations at the grassroots level to enhance their capacity in harnessing and growing their resources, as well as securing their basic rights and services from duty bearers.
The training focused on strengthening their capacity in two key areas: Mobilizing Support (14 CSOs) and Local Fundraising (15 CSOs), which are fundamental to sustainable community impact.
Throughout the sessions, participants reflected on their experiences in the implementation of CtGA strategies, sharing what worked and the challenges that they faced. By examining these challenges, the CSOs collaboratively identified actionable solutions and strategies to overcome them, ensuring they can enhance their local fundraising efforts and mobilization of support.
In conclusion, the refresher training successfully equipped participants with practical tools, strategies, and a deeper understanding of how to build and sustain local support for their initiatives. By encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing, the session empowered the CSOs to refine their approaches, overcome challenges, and ultimately increase their impact within the communities they serve.
