May 29, 2026In our mission to empower Kenyan communities to flourish and become resilient, on 2nd and 3rd December 2025, KCDF hosted a graduate’s workshop for the Change the Game Academy participants in Nakuru County.

The finalists took part in the ‘Mobilising Support’ course that equipped them with knowledge, skills, and tools needed to effectively engage duty bearers and stakeholders in lobbying, creating an enabling environment, and influencing policy for lasting, sustainable change.
This workshop marked the culmination of a four-month integrated learning journey that included online self-paced modules, in-person training, and coaching sessions for 12 partner organisations operating in Nakuru and Isiolo counties.
The graduates’ course provided an opportunity for champion organisations to deepen their understanding of approaches to strengthen their MS action plans. Among the key areas of focus was the practical application of the IRAC (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion) legal analysis framework, along with the integration of international human rights conventions into their advocacy work.

Joining the meeting virtually, Executive Director Ms Grace Maingi encouraged the champions to put into practice the knowledge and skills gained throughout the programme. She reaffirmed KCDF’s commitment to supporting successful outcomes from the CTGA trainings.
The event concluded with a vibrant graduation ceremony celebrating the achievements of the 12 partner organisations and 25 participants, including one KCDF staff member who now joins the growing movement of global changemakers.
