Finance Department during the work planning meeting
From July 2nd to 4th, 2025, KCDF held its annual work planning workshop, which reviewed the progress of its work promoting social justice and the sustainable development of Kenyan communities.
This vital workshop, which brings together all the Foundation’s staff members, provided a structured opportunity for the different departments to collaboratively develop and submit their work plans for the upcoming financial year. This inclusive and participatory approach ensures that our efforts are effectively coordinated, strategically guided, and ultimately responsive to the needs of the communities we serve, in line with our strategic plan 2024-2028.
KCDF’s work continues to be grounded in our four strategic focus areas: community-led development, creation of an enabling environment, entrenchment of local philanthropy within communities, and strengthening institutional effectiveness among our partner organisations. These pillars form the foundation of our commitment to delivering impactful and sustainable development outcomes across Kenya.
This annual planning process reaffirms our belief that sustainable development is achievable only when communities are at the forefront of their transformation. The workshop emphasised our dedication to empowering local voices, fostering collaborative partnerships, and designing lasting, community-driven solutions. As we embark on a new year of implementation, we remain resolute in our vision of building flourishing, resilient, and self-reliant communities throughout the country.
