On 24th February 2025, KCDF participated in the 2025 Education Sponsorship Cheque Handover Event, hosted by NCBA Bank. KCDF and NCBA have partnered to implement the MENTENDA mentorship programme at Upper Hill Secondary School for one cohort. This boys-only initiative is designed to nurture young men into confident, responsible individuals while unlocking their potential to become leaders in their communities.
The event, held at the Nairobi Railway Museum, offered attendees a unique opportunity to learn about Kenya’s history, the challenges of building the railway system, and the evolution of trains through technological advancements. This setting highlighted NCBA’s commitment to supporting education and promoting its development.
The event culminated with a tree-planting session aimed at instilling a culture of environmental conservation in the students we serve. This activity aligned perfectly with our vision of promoting flourishing, resilient communities, with education as one of our key support pillars.
