KCDF Hosts CTGA Master Class to Strengthen Local Fundraising Capacity
June 26, 2025
On 16th June 2025, KCDF hosted a delegation from STAR-Ghana Foundation, our valued partners for the past five years through the Giving for Change programme.
The visit provided a platform to share insights into KCDF’s role in shaping and implementing the Public Benefit Organisations (PBO) Act, 2013, as Ghana advances efforts to develop the Nonprofit Organisations (NPO) Bill.
Beyond discussions on the regulatory landscape, the delegation expressed great interest in KCDF’s innovative approaches to local resource mobilisation and asset development. This included an in-depth look at the establishment and growth of KCDF’s endowment fund, along with key strategies designed to promote sustainability and foster community-led development.
This engagement aligns closely with KCDF’s broader work in creating an enabling environment that empowers organisations to advocate for their causes and mobilise support within their communities.

We were honoured to welcome prominent stakeholders, including Dr. Isaiah Sang, Chairperson of the Public Benefit Organisations Regulatory Authority (PBORA), representatives from the Civic Freedoms Forum (CFF), Chris Mbiti, and Wairu Kinyori.
This exchange facilitated a rich sharing of knowledge and experience, further strengthening collaborative efforts to build a supportive environment for civil society organisations.
