Today, many bright and hardworking young people in Kenya are being denied access to higher education—not because they lack potential, but because they lack financial support. At KCDF, we’ve received 136 urgent requests from students in need: 78 have been admitted to university, and 58 have qualified for technical and vocational training (TVET) programmes. Unfortunately, without financial assistance, their dreams of furthering their education and building a better future are at risk of being deferred.

This urgent need has been worsened by the new Higher Education Funding Model, which, though well-intended, has left many vulnerable students behind. As a response, KCDF is running the “Let’s Level the Playing Field for Every Youth” campaign. Our goal is to raise 80 Million Kenyan Shillings to ensure that these 136 students stay in school and graduate with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to succeed.

This campaign goes beyond tuition support. It is a comprehensive youth empowerment initiative that includes:

  • Financial support for university and TVET programmes
  • Life skills and resilience training
  • Mentorship from a network of over 1,270 professionals
  • Internship and apprenticeship placements
  • A strong culture of community give-back

By supporting this campaign, you’re investing in more than just education; you’re helping to create equity, unlock opportunity, and break the cycle of poverty for an entire generation.

We invite individuals, businesses, and philanthropic partners to join us in making a lasting difference.

Together, we can build a more just and hopeful Kenya, one student at a time.
