On Saturday, 22nd February 2025, the Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF), in partnership with Isuzu East Africa, officially launched the sixth cohort of the MenTenda boys’ mentorship programme at Aquinas Boys High School. This milestone marks the ongoing commitment of both organisations to nurturing young leaders and empowering the next generation through structured mentorship and guidance.
MenTenda is a transformative mentorship initiative designed to equip young men with essential life skills, leadership abilities, and personal development tools, aligning with KCDF’s broader mission of investing in sustainable community-driven solutions that uplift and empower individuals.
Speaking at the event, Boniface Mutinda, KCDF’s Communications Manager, expressed gratitude to Isuzu East Africa for their unwavering support, emphasizing the programme’s impact over the past five cohorts. He encouraged the students to fully embrace the mentorship journey, noting that the lessons learned will help shape them into responsible, visionary, and community-oriented leaders.
Duncan Muhindi, Communications Manager at Isuzu East Africa, reinforced this message, urging the boys to view the mentorship program as an opportunity to lay a strong foundation for their future success. He highlighted the role of discipline, determination, and continuous self-improvement in achieving long-term goals.
The launch event was attended by staff members from both KCDF and Isuzu East Africa, as well as representatives from Aquinas Boys High School’s administration, all of whom reiterated their commitment to fostering an environment where young men can thrive, develop character, and contribute positively to society.
Through initiatives like MenTenda, KCDF continues to advance its mission of building self-reliant and resilient communities by investing in the growth and empowerment of youth—the leaders of tomorrow.
