Our Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding at KCDF
Our safeguarding commitment is aimed at ensuring that partners and communities we work with are protected from both deliberate and accidental harm and abuse caused by KCDF staff and our representatives.
How to Report a Safeguarding Concern
Option One: Making a Complaint through KCDF Management
We do not tolerate any form of abuse or misconduct such as exploitation, harassment, intimidation, and bullying by staff or its representatives and take all concerns seriously. If you have a safeguarding concern related to KCDF, our staff, or its representatives, please tell us immediately and report it.
Report a complaint, or suspected witnessed or disclosed safeguarding incident by writing an email to KCDF’s lead on safeguarding, Catherine Kiganjo through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Option Two: Making a Complaint through KCDF Board
This alternative applies in the event the KCDF designated safeguarding overall contact person is the perpetrator or is adversely mentioned, and or after sending the report, the person reporting is not satisfied with the feedback given.
Report a complaint or suspected, witnessed, or disclosed safeguarding incident by writing an email to the Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Option 3: Other Pathways to Filing a Safeguarding Report
You may also file a safeguarding incident through your contact person at KCDF or your Direct Line Manager (for KCDF staff members), or KCDF’s Executive Director.
Due to the sensitive nature of safeguarding concerns, confidentiality must and will be maintained during all stages of the reporting process, and information will be shared on a limited ‘need to know' basis only.
